7 Winter Self Care Ideas

Hey babes,

I hope you’re doing good and staying safe in your homes. Oh! Wait a second, my phone just popped up tips for winter self-care. I know that it is very important to take care of ourselves and stay safe this winter. So today, let’s talk about these tips only but with a tangy twist, winter style.

As the seasons change, we often need to change our self-care routines to accommodate the weather, amount of daylight, our schedule, and so forth. The winter months can be particularly tough on us both physically and mentally. Below, you’ll find 10 of my favorite self-care activities that are well-suited to winter:

1. Relax and Get Cozy

Wear something you are comfortable with. On a cold winter’s day, there’s nothing better than staying home in your pajamas, cuddling up with a good book, sitting in front of a fire, or binge-watching your favorite show. Occasionally, give yourself permission to stay home and just relax. This is not a tip, it is something you need to do slowly and steadily to gain confidence in your clothes. I know it’s difficult to imply it in our real life, but its best to make stronger changes in your life to be bold, mesmerizing and confident.

2. Enjoy a hot drink

A hot drink on a cold day is so comforting – a true simple pleasure. You will feel afresh when you will drink a hot coca chocolate. Drinking something hot will keep your body hydrating and taking liquids in any form is the best for having soft skin. If you don’t drink hot cocoa, you can make a hot coffee or something related to liquids. It will nourish your skin and give you the best look ever!

3. Enjoy nature's beauty

Yes, winter can be cold and dreary. But it can also be beautiful – fresh snow on the trees, icicles hanging from the roof, red cardinals at your birdfeeder, a full moon. When we’re mindful and take the time to look, there’s a lot to take pleasure in.

4. Treat yourself to a good moisturizer

Winter is hard on your skin. Between the cold wind outside and drying heat inside, you frequently have chapped lips and dry, flaky skin. So you should apply moisturizer daily. As we all know, sometimes we can be lazy because our chores are never-ending and our bodies don’t support it. So, keep your skin good and healthy in winters too as this season can affect our skin a lot. As the temperature falls, our skin starts to show its effects. Apply a moisturizer to keep it refreshing, relaxing and free from dirt.

5. Find a good face mask

Another important thing for skin is to use a face mask or sheets. But a tip, use them once in two weeks. These sheets are easily available with Neutrogena and Garnier. You can make the sheets healthy by dipping them into water, nourishing capsule and aloe vera. It gains all the nutrients and start applying it on your face. Leave it for five to ten minutes and it is very easy to remove, just peel it off. These small things that we do in seasons make us happy as we are making our days productive rather than wasting years on cringing. We are here, loving and giving our bodies time to be healthy. We are not hating it for a change, but we are making a progress in ourselves. These small things make you feel on cloud nine if you see it with the right eyes.

6. Encourage your creative side

Encourage yourself to do something unplanned and spontaneous. Pick out a journal from your cupboard and start writing how you have been and what are you planning for the future. Stay constant and thrive for your goals. Write down some beautiful inspiring quotes in your journal which can keep you motivated on your bad days too. Starting new things can give you more closure than ever and maybe you find your passion and abilities.

Put Winter Self-Care on your Calendar

Now that you’ve got a few ideas for your winter self-care, it’s time to put it on your calendar. Self-care (like most things) is much more likely to happen if you create a plan for when and what you will do to take care of yourself. Where will you begin? Perhaps, just add one new self-care activity to your schedule this week.

I hope this was a nourishing and relaxing, like a therapy session. Hope this winter turns out lovely! Go and strive and conquer the world, my girl. Don’t forget to share your views in the comment section
